The Universal Apostolic Preferences
The Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAP) are a frame of reference in the mission of the Society of Jesus for the next 10 years. They give a horizon, a point of reference to the whole Society, they capture our imagination and awaken our desires. In short, they unite us in our mission.
The Preferences, on which we are now working, point to four areas vital for our world today. We are invited to explore them in depth, get involved and put them into practice.
Showing the way to God through the Spiritual Exercises and discernment.
Walking with the Excluded, with the poor, the outcasts of the world, those whose dignity has been violated, in a mission of reconciliation and justice.
Journeying with youth in their journey in the creation of a hope-filled future.
Caring for our Common Home collaborating, with Gospel depth, for the protection and renewal of God’s Creation.
